Mr. Roderick D. Philson, age 52, of 111 Jacob Brook Court, Mauldin, died Sunday, January 8, 2017 at his home. Born in Laurens, a son of Donald Workman, Jr. and Sarah Jackson Workman, he was a member of the Duncan Creek Baptist Church. He is survived by his parents, Donald Workman, Jr. and Sarah J. Workman of the home; two brothers, Tyrone Workman of Florida and Jarone Workman of Enoree and two sisters, Sarah Philson of Fountain Inn and Beverly Brandley of North Carolina. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, January 15, 2017 at the Duncan Creek Baptist Church, with Rev. Derrick Barksdale officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held Saturday, January 14, 2017 from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Beasley Funeral Home, Fountain Inn. The family is at the home. Beasley Funeral Home, Fountain Inn is in charge of arrangements.
