Mr. Wesley A. Kelley, age 63, of 102 Woodland Drive, Fountain Inn, passed away Friday, February 27, 2026.  Born in Greenville County, he was a son of the late John Earl Kelley and Betty Wharton Kelley.  After graduating from Hillcrest High School in 1981, as a star athlete, Wesley attended Mars Hill College to play football before transferring to South Carolina State University.  There he met his best friend and love of his life for forty years, Avis.  Together, they raised two sons, their eldest his namesake, Justin Wesley Kelley of New Jersey and Asa Kelley of Greenville.  Both whom were among their greatest accomplishment.

He took pride in his involvement in the Prince Hall Masons and was a visionary and spearheaded the annual men's breakfast.  He volunteered his time and service to the Mt. Zion Baptist Church and various community initiatives, most notably the food bank ministry.

Along with his parents, Wesley is preceded in death by his sister, Monekka and his grandparents, Rebecca Boyd Wharton and Otis and Corine Wharton and J. B. and Theressa Kelley.

He is survived by his wife, Avis S. Kelley; two sons, Justin Kelley and Asa Kelley; one brother, Monta Kelley; his aunts, Issie Wright and Cynthia (Joyce) Kelley; a cousin that he treated as his sister, Theressa (Pinkey) Jones; Matthew Bashore and Brook Carico that he recognized as his children as well as a host of loving nieces, nephews and friends.

Pubic viewing will be held Friday, March 6 2026 from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. at Beasley Funeral Home, Fountain Inn.

A memorial service will be held 12 Noon, Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Fountain Inn.
