Ms. Tonya Evette Posey, age 51, of Belton, South Carolina entered into rest on Saturday September 3, 2022 at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in Greenville, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late David Posey and Mildred Thurmond Posey. She attended the public schools of Greenville County and graduated from Woodmont High School class of 1988. She was a faithful member of Shady Grove Baptist Church and supported its various ministry. She is survived by her devoted significant other, Eddie Coker of the home; two brothers, Allen Posey and Michael Posey both of Pelzer, South Carolina and four sisters, Mary (Louie)Murray of Simpsonville, South Carolina; Elaine (James)Dorrah of Gray Court, South Carolina; Shenise Johnson of Pelzer, South Carolina and Doreen Posey of Greenville, South Carolina.

Public viewing for Ms. Posey will be Saturday, September 10, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Beasley Funeral Home, Greenville.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 p.m., Sunday, September 11, 2022 at Shady Grove Baptist Church, Pelzer.  Burial will immediately follow in the church cemetery.
