Mrs. Teretha C. Major,of 204 Lowndes Avenue, Greenville, SC, died Friday, November 21, 2014 at Greenville Memorial Hospital, Greenville, SC. A daughter of Estelle Floyd and the late Thornton Floyd and wife of Harry Major, she was a former employee of the Greenville County School District. She is survived by her husband of fifty years,Harry Major of the home; one son, Chris Major of Simpsonville, SC; two daughters, Karen Major of Mauldin, SC and Cheryl Ann Major of Taylors, SC; her mother, Estelle Floyd of Greenville, SC; two brothers, Harold Floyd and Alfred Floyd of Greenville, SC; two sisters, Josephine Floyd and Florie McKinney of Greenville, SC; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at the Beasley Funeral Home Chapel of the Beasley Funeral Home, Greenville,with Reverend Carleathea Benson officiating. The family is at the home.
