Ms. Teressa Diane (Trixie) Stokley, age 49, was born February 8, 1973 in Asheville NC to Rev. Valerie Diane (Danny) Murraye of Greenville, SC and Pastor James Edward (Gwen) Stokley of Asheville, NC. She attended Asheville High and graduated from Travelers Rest High School. At an early age she professed her faith in the Lord Jesus Christ…saved, sanctified, and filled with the Holy Ghost. She was a member of Restoration Church and served the church faithfully and was a part of all church auxiliaries. She sang with her mom, her sister, and her grandmother Rev. Lizette Jones. She sang with the Power House Choir, New Life Gospel Choir and the Spirit Fest Choir. Trixie was the life of any party, her presence lit up the room and she met no stranger. She loved herself some Beyonce' and was a devoted member of "The Bey Hive". She was also a well-known Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Her beautiful life will be forever cherished in the lives of her children: Martika Butler, Isaiah Stokley, Khia Stokley, Shaundia Stokley, Jahmel Stokley, Omega Stokley and granddaughter Nyla (Shank tha Bank); one sister, Melissa (Tony) Stokley-Lynch; aunts and uncles; a special aunt, Sylva of Elberton, Georgia and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandmothers Rev. Lizette Davis Jones and Dessie Mae Stokley. Funeral Services will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Beasley Funeral Home Chapel, Greenville Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
