Sychanh "Mr. T" Phongsavath, age 65, of Greenville, South Carolina, passed on Thursday, April 11, 2025, at St. Francis Downtown Hospital. He was born in Laos, the son of the late Khamsing Phongsavath and Phay Hoang Phongsavath. He was a veteran of the Royal Lao Airborne and received an honorable discharge. With his love for Thai and Asian dishes, he mastered his culinary skills and opened Thai Ging Restaurant in Greenville County.

He is survived by two daughters, April Hammond, and Atyna (Henry Charles Bell Jr.) Fisher; four brothers, Vinh Lym, Noi Phongsavath, Boby Lym, and Saiboua Phongsavath; four sisters, Lon, Somphet Flantzman, Somphone Phongsavath, and Sengchanh Phongsavath; his loving grandchildren, Nedla Jade Bell, Henry Charles Bell III, and Hero Ty Bell.

Service of Life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Beasley Funeral Home Greenville Chapel with military honor presented by the Royal Lao Airborne.
