Ms. Sophia Yvette Kinney, age 57, passed on Wednesday August 13, 2025, at Prisma Health System
Greenville Memorial Hospital. Sophia was a member of Love Story Church. Love Story Church was her home away, from home, she loved her church family.
Sophia accomplished many milestones in her life. She studied marketing and management at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College also Social Science at Southern Wesleyan University, continuing her educational track she studied Marketing and Organization Leadership, and Psychology at University of Phoenix.
Sophia was a team member on Direct Care at Tamassee DAR School, Therapentic Support Staff (TSS) at Youth Advocates Inc, Case Manager, CBPS Program Supervisor, and Treatment Director at SAFY.
Sophia's generosity and commitment to give back to her family and community was her passion in life. Sophia will be remembered for her heart of gold, her given spirit, and the sparkle she had for life. Sophia will be forever in our hearts.
Sophia is survived by her mother Edith Kinney, two sisters Michelle Damone Bryan, Tanya Adegboye, two nephews Noah Bryan, Josiah Adegboye, three nieces Elizabeth Bryan, Samone Adegboye, Sarah Nzame; four goddaughters Krystal Youmans, Krystal Windley, Tracey Pettigrew, and Patience Raxter. A host of other relatives, co-workers, her family in ministry, and those she encountered while cultivating seeds of love here on this side.
Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Bishop's Chapel of The Love Story Church - 74 Byrdland Drive, Greenville, SC 29607. The Chapel Doors will open at 12:30pm Service will start promptly at 1pm in the hand of the Pastoral Staff of The Love Story Church
