Mr. Simmie A. Hicks, Jr, age 68, of 629 South Harper Street Laurens passed away on September 13, 2019 at the Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville, SC. He is survived by his wife Williette Hicks of the home, two sons, Cedric (Chardel) Lauchner of Jacksonville, FL; Simmie (Juwana) Hicks III of East Stroudsburg, PA; two daughters, Tiffany Sheriod of Brooklyn, NY; Tawana (James) Shaver of Atlanta, GA; two brothers, Tyrone (Emma) Hicks of Brooklyn, NY; Raymond (Felicia) Hicks of Florida; seven grandchildren; and a host of relatives. The family will be located at the home. Funeral arrangements for Mr. Simmie A. Hicks, Jr. will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 2pm at the Beaverdam Baptist Church in Enoree with Dr. O.T. Hill officiating with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family is at the home. Beasley Funeral Home of Laurens is in charge of the arrangements.
