With heartfelt sadness, we announce the passing of Rev. Shawn Alfred Kilpatrick, 47, of Greenville, South Carolina, who entered eternal rest on Sunday, May 24, 2026.

Rev. Kilpatrick lived a life of faith, service, compassion, and love. His ministry and presence touched the lives of many, and his legacy will continue through his family, friends, congregation, and all who were blessed to know him.

Rev. Shawn Kilpatrick was born to the late William and Linda Kilpatrick on December 7, 1977, in Anderson, South Carolina.

Shawn grew up as one of four children alongside his siblings: Latoya Kilpatrick of Anderson, South Carolina; Ronicka Craig (Quinton) of Anderson, South Carolina; and Danessa Barr (Joseph) of Powdersville, South Carolina. He was educated in Anderson School District Four and graduated from Pendleton High School in 1997. He later furthered his education in Biblical Studies and ultimately earned a Masters in Divinity.

Shawn was the proud uncle of Jaxon and Ayden and often shared how much joy it brought him to finally have more boys in the family.

Shawn heard the call of God on his life at a young age and began ministering and serving as a youth pastor at First United Pentecostal Church of Anderson, where he also became licensed. After moving to Columbia, South Carolina, for five years and beginning his career in social work, Shawn returned to the Upstate of South Carolina to pursue his passion for pastoring.

He served faithfully as pastor of New Durbin Baptist Church in Fountain Inn for 11 years. In 2020, he founded Victory Outreach Center, a ministry born from his heart, which he led until 2024.

In addition to his ministry work, Shawn dedicated over 15 years of service as a hospice chaplain. He had a special gift for comforting families during difficult times, offering compassion, prayer, and hope to those facing life's most challenging moments.

Shawn was known for his charismatic personality, his love for people, and his willingness to speak a word of encouragement to both the lost and the found.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, George and Alice Hill; his paternal grandparents, J.V. and Dorothy Kilpatrick; and his uncle and spiritual father, Rev. C.L. Jones.

Public Viewing on  Thursday from 1:30pm to 6:30pm at Beasley Funeral Home- Greenville

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Mountain View Baptist Church in Greenville, South Carolina.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Beasley Funeral Home — Greenville Chapel.
