Ms. Sarah Louise Simpson, age 94, formerly of Gray Court, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2025 in Brooklyn, NY. Born in Laurens County, she was a daughter of the late Lula Mae and John W. Carter. She is survived by two daughters, Betty Jean Simpson of Columbia, SC and Margaret (Sam) Simpson-Wyllie of Houston, TX; one brother John (Nancy) R. Carter of Gray Court; six grandchildren, Keith Simpson of Charleston, SC, Natalie (Raymond) Simpson-Mack of Gray Court, Tonya (Chuck) Toussaint of Carnaise, NY, Demarish and Daniel Wyllie of Houston, TX and Shandel Simpson-Radtray of New York, NY; twelve great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held 1 p.m., Sunday, February 9, 2025 at Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Lamont Jones officiating.
