Mrs. Sara T. Chapman, age 98, of 130 Taycha Drive, Piedmont, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2026.  Born in Anderson County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Sam Thurmond and Priscilla Griffin Thurmond and wife of the late Roscoe Chapman, Sr.  She is survived by one son, Roscoe Chapman, Jr.; six daughters, Pauline Kelly, Annie Mae Mann, Sarah Robinson, Shirley Dial, Chrisitine Nedwards and Catherine Chapman; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great, great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 12 Noon, Friday, June 12, 2026 at Reedy Fork Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family is at the home of a daughter, 2871 W. Georgia Road, Piedmont, SC 29673.
