Mr. Sammie Lee Campbell, age 89, of 531 Hanson Circle, Laurens, SC, died Thursday, March 5, 2015 at the Laurens County Hospice House, Clinton, SC. Born in Laurens County, he was a son of the late Sam Campbell and Rosella Waldrop Campbell and a former employee of the Torrington Company. He is survived by one son, Jermaine Caldwell of Laurens, SC; one brother, James L. Campbell of Laurens, SC and two sisters, Mamie Cunningham of Waterloo, SC and Katherine Holloway of Mc Cormick, SC. Funeral service will be held 2:30 p.m., Sunday, March 8, 2015 at the Good Hope Baptist Church, with Rev. Guy Sullivan and Rev. Charles Holloway officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military rites. The family is at the home of his son, Jermaine Caldwell, 208 Glendale Avenue, Laurens, SC.
