With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Roy Calvin Cook, who departed this life on December 8, 2024 at the age of 80. Born on February 13, 1944, in Simpsonville, South Carolina, Roy was the beloved son of the late Felix Cook Sr. and Gussie Thomason Cook.

Roy was a man of unwavering love and devotion to his family, faith, and community. He is survived by his loving wife, Amanda Gail Cook, who stood steadfast by his side. His memory will also be cherished by his children: Nuyon Cook (Clarissa), Maya Evans, and his bonus sons, Antonio Robinson and Bennell Robinson.

Roy was a devoted brother to his two sisters, Shellie Garrett and Mamie Grayden, and a proud grandfather to nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense joy and pride.

Public Viewing will be on Thursday, December 12, 2024 from 1pm-6pm

A celebration of life service will be held at Reedy Fork Baptist Church on Friday December 13, 2024 at 11:00am , with interment to follow in the church Cemetery.
