Mr. Robert Reid, age 67, of 330 Chapman Grove Road, Pelzer, died Friday, April 29, 2016 at his home. Born in Greenville County a son of Ruby Lee Reid Lomax and the late Robert Lee Hawkins, he was a former employee of Air Products and Chemicals and a US Army Veteran. He is survived by his wife, Paula Reid of the home; one son, Robert D. Reid of the home; three daughters, Michelle (Dwight) Stevenson of Spartanburg, Tonya (Brian) Scott and Cynthia Harrison both of Greenville; his mother, Ruby Lee Reid Lomax of Greenville; two brothers, Gregory Hawkins of Greenville and Leon (Darlene) Hawkins of Piedmont; one sister, Julia Nedwards of Greenville; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 2pm Friday, May 6, 2016 at the Rock of Ages Baptist Church with Rev. Terry King officiating. Burial in Greenville Memorial Gardens with military rites. Beasley Funeral Home, Greenville is in charge of arrangements. The family is at the home.
