Mr. Richard Eugene Boyd, age 49, of 118 3rd Street, Judson Community, Greenville, died Wednesday, April 3, 2019. Born in Greenville, he was a son of Floree Evans Hunter and the late Buddy Eugene Boyd and was reared by the late Elijah and Louise Hawthorne. He is survived by three sons, Rondall Boyd, Joshua Boyd and Darrius Boyd; his mother, Floree Evans Hunter of Fountain Inn; three step sons, Robert Lunsford, David Ashmore and Frederick Riley; one step daughter, Nnenna Lunsford; his brothers, Johnny (Katherine) Evans, Elbert Hunter, Johnny (Tracy) Hunter, James (Trina) Boyd and Jonahton (Tawanna) Durham; his sisters, Flora (Lester) Smith, Daphne Sims, Thomsina (Bruce) Sweeney and Sara Calwile and seven grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, April 13, 2019 at the Beasley Funeral Home Chapel, Fountain Inn, with Reverend Willie J. Choice officiating.
