Reverend Johnny Louis Nedwards, age 79 of Greenville, South Carolina was called from labor to reward on Friday, September 13, 2024, at Greenville Post Acute. He was born in Greenwood, South Carolina, the son of the late John Nedwards and Daisy Bell Johnson Nedwards. He was educated in the public schools of Greenville County and graduated from Sterling High School.

He was a custodian at Wade Hampton for over twenty years until retiring.

Johnny answered the call to work in the vineyard and began his course studies at the Martin Webb Learning Center, later receiving a bachelor's degree in theology.

He was the pastor of Straightway Baptist Church in Greenville, South Carolina until his health began to decline.

He is survived by his companion, Nettie Foster of the home; son, Jonathan Nunnelly of Orlando, Florida, and a daughter, Valerie Sturkey of Missouri; three siblings, Jerome Mills, Nancy Bolden, and Mary Nedwards all of Greenville, South Carolina.

Funeral service will be held today, 2pm at Beasley Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop A. L. Burdine officiating
