Mr. Ralph Hunter Williams, age 88, passed away July 9, 2026 in East Plainfield, New Jersey.  Born in Laurens County, in 1938, he was a son of the late Hunter F. Williams and Allean Irby.  He was a resident of Plainfield for fifty-one years.  Mr. Williams retired from Bristol Myer Squibb after serving for more than twenty years.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Sarah Campbell and brothers, Tim Williams and Frank Williams.

Mr. Williams is survived by his brothers, Charles Williams and Johnny Williams and his sisters, Willie Bell Jackson, Daisy Ruth Lewers and Teretha W. Smith.

Mr. Williams had a very strong work ethic, highly motivated to always be the best version of himself. Overall, he was a kind, loving, fun, caring person.  He truly was an exceptional human being.  Mr. Williams loved the Lord and he attended Mount Vernon Baptist Church in Newark, New Jersey.  A loving father and grandfather that will truly be missed.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, July 25, 2026 at New Durbin Baptist Church, 5178 Allen Bridge Road, Fountain Inn, SC 29644.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
