Mrs. Lydia L. Dennis, age 83, of 1404 Ridge Road, Greenville, died Monday, April 24, 2017 at her home. Born in Greenville County, a daughter of the late Roscoe Hallums and Maude Von Hallums and wife of the late John Dennis, Sr., she was a member of the Laurel Creek United Methodist Church. She is survived by one son, John Dennis, Jr. of Greenville; one daughter, Debra Williams of Greenville; one brother, John B. Hallums of Greenville; one sister, Betty Glover of Greenville; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Saturday, April 29, 2017 at the Laurel Creek United Methodist Church, with Rev. Redonia Thomas officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family is at the home. Beasley Funeral Home Greenville is in charge of arrangements.
