Mr. Charles Boyd, Jr., age 63, of 114 Jennings Street, Laurens, died Wednesday, May 8, 2013 in the Greenville Memorial Hospital, Greenville, SC.He was born in Greenville County, South Carolina a son of the late Charles Boyd Sr. and Jessie Mae Choice Boyd and a brick mason for a local Commercial Construction Company. He is survived by one son, Charles Boyd, III of Laurens; one daughter, Shauna Scott of Cross Hill; four stepchildren, Travis Howard, Derrick Howard, Teneya Howard and Lois Howard all of Clinton; one brother, Roy Lee Boyd of Laurens; four grandchildren.Funeral service will be held 3 p.m., Saturday, May 18, 2013 at the C.D. Beasley Memorial Chapel of the Beasley Funeral Home, Laurens, with Rev.Willie Rice officiating.Burial will be in the Duncan Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family is at 1405 Flemming Street Extension, Laurens the home of Mrs. Lisa Williams a cousin.
