Mr. Michael Spurgeon, age 51 , of 130 Oak Park Drive, Mauldin, died Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at the McCall Hospice House, Simpsonville, SC. He was a son of the late Freddie Lee Spurgeon and Nannie Lee Spurgeon and husband of Patricia A. Spurgeon. He is survived by his wife, Patricia A. Spurgeon of the home; one daughter, Martavious Spurgeon of the home; one son, Milton Bolden of Laurens, SC; three brothers, Bobby Spurgeon of Simpsonville, SC, Dean Spurgeon and Richard Spurgeon of Mauldin, SC; one sister, Rev. Virginia Pyles of Simpsonville, SC and nine grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, December 15, 2013 at the Golden View Baptist Church, with Rev. Milford Anderson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family is at the home. Beasley Funeral Home, Fountain Inn is in charge of arrangements.
