In Loving Memory of Mr. Melvin Croft

Mr. Melvin Croft, age 74, of Greenville, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest on Friday, May 30, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital. Born on December 10, 1950, in Greenville, he was the beloved son of the late Mary Croft.

Throughout his life, Melvin was affectionately known as "Uncle Melvin" to many. His energetic, bubbly personality and unmatched sense of humor left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He never knew a stranger, and his contagious smile and vibrant spirit reached far beyond the city limits of Greenville.

Melvin's joyful presence, genuine warmth, and ability to make others laugh will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Carolyn Thackston; one brother, Walter (Romella) Hunt of Greenville, SC; a devoted niece Romissa "Missy" Hunt of Charlotte, NC; his lifelong friends, Maxie Burton of Greenville, and S.T. Peden, also of Greenville; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
