Deaconess Marion Lynch Ladson, age 96, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2023 at Simpsonville Post Acute, Simpsonville, SC. Born in Spartanburg, South Carolina on April 29, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Ellis Lynch and Alma Jones Lynch and widow of Franklin "Frank" Ladson, Jr.
She was educated at her home church, Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Inman, South Carolina until the fifth grade.
When Marion was only ten years old, her mother, Alma Lynch, transitioned to be with God. In her twenties, she met the love of her life, Franklin "Frank" Ladson, Jr. through her brother Jessie Lynch. She was a faithful stay-at-home wife and loved her family dearly. She and Frank lived in Washington, DC for approximately thirty-four years.
In 1981, Marion and Frank relocated to Simpsonville, South Carolina where they built a house and had enough land to grow their own food. She became a member of Union Baptist Church.
Marion was the last surviving sibling. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ellis and Alma Jones Lynch; her husband, Franklin "Frank" Ladson, Jr.; a son, Levi Ellis Ladson; four brothers, W.T. Lynch; J.E. Lewis; Jessie N. Lynch and James William Lynch.
She is survived by her children, Willa Ladson, Frankie (Evans) Hope, Lynn Ladson, June Ladson, Anita (DuVa) Clyburn, Rodney Ladson; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and three great, great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Beasley Funeral Home Chapel, Fountain Inn. Burial will be in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
