Mrs. Maria Eugenia Escalante Vazquez, age 61, of Columbus, North Carolina made her transition on Friday, June 13, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her devoted and loving family. She was born in Ixmiquilpan Hidlago, Mexico the daughter of Rafael Escalante Torres and Francisca Vazquez Bautista and the wife of Miguel Martinez Flores. She is survived by her husband Miguel Martinez Flores; three sons, Miquel Martinez, Efren Martinez, and Efrain Martinez; one daughter, Laura Martinez; four brothers, Juan Escalante, Pablo Escalante, Francisco Escalante, and Alberto Escalante; two sisters, Felisa Escalante, and Josefina Escalante.

Funeral services will be held 9 am Saturday, June 21, 2025, at San Sebastian Catholic Church. The public viewing will be on Friday, June 20, 2025, from 12p-8pm in the Greenville Chapel of Beasley Funeral Home. Interment will be Cemeteria EL Durazno, Mexico.
