Mrs. Louise M. McDaniel, age 97, of 103 Benson Street, Simpsonville, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2025 at her home. Born in Laurens County, she was a daughter of the late Tom Makins, Sr. and Willie Mae Cunningham Makins and wife of the late James McDaniel.

She is survived by two brothers, William Makins and Marion C. Makins and three sisters, Shirley Richard, Minister Jaunita Richard and Helen V. Barksdale.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, February 1, 2025 at Cedar Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Simpsonville, with Rev. Tyrese Ivey and Minister Robert Smith officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family is at the home of a niece, Sonya Richard, 103 Benson Street, Simpsonville and the home of a sister, Helen Barksdale, 3096 Highway 418, Fountain Inn.
