Ms. Lola Mae Irby

November 17, 1930 – September 17, 2026

Ms. Lola Mae Irby, age 95, peacefully entered eternal rest on Thursday, September 17, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Matthew Irby Sr.

Those who will forever cherish her loving memory include her sons, Matthew (Ann) Irby Jr., Howard (Marcia) Irby, and Christopher Irby; her daughters, Paula (Harold) Thomason and Janet Irby; and her granddaughter, Jannola Irby, who was reared in the home.

Her legacy also lives on through her 18 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Simpsonville, South Carolina. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
