Ms. Lois Alas Crowder, formerly of Greer, South Carolina departed this earthly tabernacle on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital. Born in Butts County of Jackson, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Levie Crowder and Alice S. Wise Crowder. She attended the public schools of Henry County, Georgia upon graduating she continued her education by enrolling in classes at Crescent College of Griffin, Georgia to pursue her dream of becoming a licensed board-certified nurse.

She worked hard to see her childhood dream come to fruition. She relocated to South Carolina obtaining employment with a local nursing home caring for elderly patients. She is survived by two sisters, Alice S. Taylor of Griffin Georgia, and Jean D. Jefferson of Locust Grove, Georgia; two brothers, Levie Crowder II of Greenville, South Carolina, and Marvin (Joann) Crowder of College Park, Georgia and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
