Mrs. Leona Mims Boyce passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 17,2025. She is survived by one son, Willie Mims; four daughters, Linda (Stephen) Pitts, Sharron Boyce (Leonard "Rick" Johnson, Merrill Boyce, Deena (Michael) Copeland; one brother, Bluford Cheeks; three sisters, Josie Mae Nance, Betty Bluford, Evelyn Williams; a host of grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Leona Mims Boyce will be held on Saturday, August 23,2025 at 1p.m at the Poplar Springs AME Church in Laurens, S.C. with Reverend Arthur Raven officiating, and Pastor Roland Sigman presiding, burial to follow in the Poplar Springs AME Church Cemetery.

Public Viewing will be held on Friday, August 22,2025 from 1-6p.m at the Beasley Funeral Home.

The family is at the home of her daughter, Ms. Sharron Boyce of 2533 Torrington Road, Laurens, SC, and they will be receiving family and friends.
