Mrs. Laura Angela Chappelle Hunter, age 62, of 198 Furman Street, Laurens, SC, died Sunday, October 11, 2015 at the Hospice of Laurens County Hospice House, Clinton, SC. A daughter of the late Richard Cunningham and Ollie Virginia Chappelle, she was a member of the Mt. Vernon AME Church and a home healthcare Registered Nurse. She is survived by her husband, Charles H. Hunter, Jr. of the home; two daughters, Paulette H. (Alex) Phillips of Duluth, GA and Pauline Hunter of Winder, GA; two brothers, Johnny (Christine) Chappelle of Laurens, SC and Richard (Eliza) Chappelle of Laurel, MD; two sisters, Barbara Chappelle (Nathaniel) Wright of Greensboro, NC and Mary Sexton of Fountain Inn, SC and one grandchild. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at the C.D. Beasley Memorial Chapel of the Beasley Funeral Home, Laurens, with Rev. Henry A.S. Borbor officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Vernon AME Church Cemetery. The family is at the home.
