Mrs. Joyce Elizabeth Young, age 85, of Piedmont, South Carolina died Saturday, April 24, 2021 at NHC Mauldin. Born in Richmond, Virginia a daughter of the late Richard Satterwhite and Ophelia Elizabeth Mickie. She was a former Sales Associate of Walmart and a member of Flat Rock Baptist Church. She is survived by: one son, Rickie (Teresa) Young of Travelers Rest, South Carolina; six daughters, Carolyn (James) Randolph of Mechanicsville, Virginia, Gail (Willie) Anderson of Stillwater, Oklahoma, Gloria Jackson of Piedmont, South Carolina, Pamela (Larry) Crosby of Greenville, South Carolina, Glenda (Lonnie) Hawthorne of Pelzer, South Carolina and reared in the home Milissa (Walter) Smith of Greenville, South Carolina; two brothers, Richard (Jessie) Satterwhite of Brooklyn, New York, and Eugene Satterwhite of Chesterfield, Virginia; two sisters, Myrtle Johnson of Leesburg, Virginia and Pat Hayes of Richmond, Virginia; nineteen grandchildren and thirty-one great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2pm Friday, April 30, 2021 at Flat Rock Baptist Church with Reverend Christopher Scott officiating. Burial in the church cemetery. Family will receive friends on Friday from 1-2pm at the church. ***Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic a face mask must be worn and social distancing observed***
