Mr. Johnny L. Hellams, age 69, of 601 Webb Road, Gray Court, died Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at his home. A son of the late Jeremiah Hellams, Sr. and Lydia Evans Hellams, he was a former employee of Inman Mills and a member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Betty P. Hellams of the home; one son, Thaddeus Hellams of Spartanburg, SC ; two daughters, Jacqueline Elkins of Fountain Inn, SC and Diane Hargraves of Norfolk, VA; two brothers, Jeremiah Hellams, Jr and Ernest Hellams of Gray Court, SC; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, June 21, 2015 at the Pleasant View Baptist Church with Rev. Waddy L. Talley officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family is at the home. Beasley Funeral Home, Fountain Inn is in charge of arrangements.
