Mr. Johnnie Rufus "Coot" Hill, age 82, of 6027 Bridle Wood Drive, Charlotte, N.C, formerly of Laurens, SC passed away Friday, February 7, 2025 at the Hospice and Palliative Care House in Huntersville, N.C. He is survived by three sons, James (Mary) Hill, Sherman (Shannon) Hill, Anthony Hill; two daughters, Stephanie Hill and Stacy Hill; two brothers, Willie (Louise) Grant and Johnnie Grant; three sisters, Jenni (Billy) Richard, Vera Dial, Barbara Grant; twelve grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and a host of many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Johnnie Rufus "Coot" Hill will be held 1 p.m., Monday, February 17, 2025 at the Zion Hill Baptist Church in Cross Hill, SC., with Minister Zeneeka Hill officiating. Burial will follow in Westview Memorial Park in Laurens, with Military Rites. The family is at the home of Ms. Vera Dial, 550 Watson Street, Laurens, SC.
