Mr. John Griffin, age 67, of 1512 Davenport Road, Simpsonville, SC, died Friday, November 7, 2014 at the McCall Hospice House, Simpsonville, SC. A son of the late James E. Griffin and Sarah Durham Griffin, he was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church, a former employee of Rockwell Automotives and a US Army veteran. He is survived by his wife, Jackie Griffin of the home; one son, Keith Griffin of Simpsonville, SC; one daughter, Angela Barger of Atlanta, GA; one brother, Carlton Griffin, Sr.; two step-brothers, Johnny Sweeney and Earl Sweeney of Simpsonville, SC; two sisters, Pearlie Moore and Dorothy Seawright of Simpsonville, SC; two step-sisters, Emily Smith and Pellar Ray of Simpsonville, SC and three grandchildren. Funeral service will be 1p.m., Wednesday, November, 12, 2014 at the Bethlehem Baptist Church, Simpsonville, with Dr. Phillip Baldwin officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military rites. The family is at the home. Beasley Funeral Home, Fountain Inn is in charge of arrangements.
