Deacon John Henry Cook, Sr., age 89, of 106 Reedy Acres Drive, Simpsonville, died Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at his home. Born in Greenville County, he was a son of the late Felix Berry Cook and Gussie Gertrude Thompson Cook and husband of the late Genora Cook. He is survived by one son, John Henry Cook, Jr. of Greenville; three daughters, Velda Cook of the home, Stella Hill McBee of Piedmont and Julie Cook of Simpsonville; two brothers, Alfred Cook and Roy Cook of Simpsonville; three sisters, Shelly Garrett, Mamie Grayden and Linda Bobo of Simpsonville; nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Funeral Service for Deacon John H. Cook, Sr. will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at Reedy Fork Baptist Church with Pastor T.E. Simmons officiating. Burial will immediately follow in the church cemetery. The family is at the home, 106 Reedy Acres Drive, Simpsonville. Beasley Funeral Home, Fountain Inn is in charge of arrangements.
