Mr. Joe Nathan Stroud, age 61, of 9161 City Pond Road, Covington, Georgia, formerly of Laurens, died Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at his home. A son of the late James E. Stroud and Dorothy Reid Stroud, he was a member of the Duncan Creek Baptist Church. He is survived by a brother, Charles (Barbara) Stroud of Mauldin, SC and two sisters, Sharon Elaine Stroud (B"�Journ) Glover of Simpsonville, SC and Barbara Stroud Hagood of Covington, Georgia. Funeral service will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, January 11, 2014 at the Duncan Creek Baptist Church, with Rev. Derrick Barksdale officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family is at the home of a sister, Sharon Glover, 231 El Star Loop Road, Simpsonville, SC. Beasley Funeral Home, Laurens is in charge of arrangements.
