Mr. Joe Nell Boyd Sr., passed away on Friday, May 23,2025 at the Prisma Health in Greenville, S.C. He is survived by three sons, Joe Nell Boyd Jr., Christopher (Nickie) Boyd, Jamal Boyd; two daughters, Paulette Boyd, Shavonti Whitmire; one brother, Willie Boyd; one sister, Mary G. Dendy; fourteen grandchildren; and host of great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Joe Nell Boyd Sr., will be held on Saturday, May 31,2025, at 3:30pm at the Beasley Funeral Home of Laurens, with burial to follow in the New China Baptist Church Cemetery. The family is at the home of his sister Ms. Jean Tribble Ranch Road, Laurens, S.C.
