It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of J.K. Snoddy, age 85, of Greenville, South Carolina, who entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 17, 2026. He was born on December 31, 1940, to the late Doretha Snoddy.  Mr. Snoddy was a man of quiet strength, faith, and devotion. He was known for his kind spirit, steady presence, and the love he shared with his family and all those he encountered throughout his life.

J.K. had a remarkable career spanning over 40 years as a marriage counselor, where he touched the lives of countless couples and families. He was also an ordained pastor at Redemption Fellowship in Greenville, South Carolina, providing guidance and spiritual support to his community. A proud veteran, J.K. served in the United States Air Force from 1960 until his retirement as a Master Sergeant in 1980, with his final assignment at McGuire Air Force Base in New Jersey.

In 2008, J.K. and his beloved wife, Linda, made their home in Greenville, South Carolina, where he continued to pursue his passion for knowledge as an avid reader. He was deeply devoted to his family, always placing the needs of his wife and children above his own.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories his loving and devoted wife, Linda M. Snoddy, age 79; his daughter, Regina Zimny of Lancaster, New York, age 61; his son, Jeffrey Snoddy of California, age 57; one brother in Christ, Kenneth Hodges of

Greenville, South Carolina; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one goddaughter, Barbara Ann Smith; and a host of extended family and dear friends who will miss him greatly.

J.K. will be remembered not only for his professional accomplishments but also for his unwavering love and support for his family. His legacy of faith, kindness, perseverance, and commitment to helping others will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Though he has departed this earthly life, his memory will continue to live on forever.

A memorial service and inurnment at M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery will be announced at a later date.
