Mr. Jessie J. Stoddard, age 85, of 161 Gunter Road, Piedmont, SC, passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2026.  Born in Laurens County, he was a son of the late Jessie Stoddard, Sr. and Arletha Shell Stoddard.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred J. Stoddard; two daughters, Gwendolyn Stoddard and Justina Hill; one sister, Polly Stoddard Wright; four grandchildren, Lamont Flemming, Christine (Craig) Walker, Justin Stoddard and Jessica (Tee) Williams and five grandchildren, Damiya Flemming, Zariyah Stoddard, Tavorace Williams, Jr., Xavyon Williams and Jahlil Williams.

Funeral services will be held 1p.m., Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at Mt. Carmel AME Church.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.
