Mrs. Janie Pearl Jones, age 77, of 392 Hooker Avenue, Laurens, died Thursday, July 18, 2013 at the Self Regional Hospital, Greenwood, SC. A daughter of the late John Gus Anderson and Eliza Henderson and wife of the late Tommie Lee Jones, she was a former employee of the J.P. Stevens Company and a member of the Evening Light Church of God. She is survived by two sons, Thomas Russell Jones and Gregory Leon Jones of Laurens; two daughters, Jacqueline Jones Burts of Laurens and Karen Yvonne Jones Mittman of Greensboro, NC; two brothers, Charles Anderson of Laurens and Gussie Lee Anderson of Marlboro Maryland; two sisters, Vera Phillips of Brooklyn, New York and Diane Lagroon of Fountain Inn, SC; eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 2pm, Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at the White Plains Baptist Church, Mountville with Reverend Isaac Cropp and Rev. Johnny L. Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Public viewing will be on Monday, July 22, 2013 from 9-5p.m, at the Beasley Funeral Home, Laurens, then from 6-8pm at the Evening Light Church of God, Laurens. The family is at the home. Beasley Funeral Home, Laurens is in charge of arrangements.
