Mr. James "Jimmy" Valentine Jr., age 74, of Greenville, South Carolina departed this earthly tabernacle on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at St. Francis Downtown Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born in Greenville County, South Carolina, the son of the late James Milton Valentine and Gennie Lois Anderson Valentine, also the husband of Linda K. Davis Valentine.

"Jimmy" as he was affectionately called by his family and friends was the owner and operator of Valentine Commercial and Residential Painters.

He is survived by his devoted wife and caretaker, Linda K. Davis Valentine of the home; three sons, Joshua (Laquisha) Valentine of Greenville, South Carolina, Christopher Love of Massachusetts, and Joshua Love of Greenville, South Carolina; eight daughters, Kimberly Williams Calhoun, Treva Valentine, Alisha Lee, Jessica Valentine, Katherine Love, Naomi Love, Jessica Young, and Angel Love all of Greenville, South Carolina; five sisters, Joann Fowler, Loretta Sizemore, Ann Gamble, Janet Ellis, and Mona Warren all of Greenville, South Carolina; twenty-five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Public Viewing will be on Saturday, February 14, 2026, from 10:00 am - 6:00 pm at Beasley Funeral Home Chapel-Greenville.

Home Going Services will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, February 15, 2026, at Long Branch Baptist Church 28 Bolt Street, Greenville, South Carolina. Interment: Private
