Mr. James Thomas, age 85, of 115 Goose Way Court, Gray Court, passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2026.  Born in Laurens County, he was a son of the late Sullivan Thomas, Sr. and Sarah Jennings Thomas.

He is survived by one son, James Arthur (Brenda) Thomas; three daughters, Selisa Thomas, Jessie Walker and Mary Todd; five brothers, Leroy Thomas, Johnny Lee (Linda) Thomas, Sullivan (Bessie) Thomas, Jr., Bobby Lewis Thomas and Nathaniel (Rachel) Thomas; two sisters, Dorothy Ann Hellams and Sadie (Bernard) Perett and special friend, Lucille Todd.

A public viewing will be held Thursday, January 29, 2026 from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Beasley Funeral Home Laurens.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, January 30, 2026 at Pleasant View Missionary Baptist Church.
