Mr. James Frankie Smith Sr., age 72, of Greenville, South Carolina, made his transition on Thursday, November 27,2025 at his residence. Born in Greenville, South Carolina, the son of the late James Smith and Odessa Shell Smith. He was educated in the public schools of Greenville County and mastered the craft of Brick Masonry.

James never met a stranger, it was his infectious smile, wherever he traveled a friend he was. Family was especially important to him, a good day was spending time with his siblings, and later included his children, grandchildren, and the blessing of great grandchildren.

He is survived by three children, Maria C. Smith, twins, Andre (Vanity) Smith and Andrian Smith all of Greenville, South Carolina; four sisters, Martha Smith, Mary (Anthony) Durham, Linda (Bobby) Durham, all of Greenville, South Carolina and Angela (Delbert) Sullivan of Macon, Georgia; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at 4pm Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 12 Chaney Street Greenville, South Carolina, the home of his eldest daughter Maria Smith.
