Mr. James Edward Ray, age 70, of 119 Sunset Drive, Mauldin, passed away Monday, October 5, 2026. Born in Greenville County, he was a son of Paul Ray and the late Thelma Jones Ray.  He is survived by his wife, Pellar Sweeney Ray; two sons, James Paul (Kwuaneisha) Ray and Jason (Paulisha) Ray; one daughter, Fatika Hewins-Sanders; his father, Paul Ray; three sisters, Cinderella (Henry) Davis, Angela (Henry) Jackson and Thelma (Walter) Fletcher and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, October 9, 2026 at Rocky Creek Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family is receiving friends at the home from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.
