Mr. James Wheeler "J.W." Putman, age 81, of Fountain Inn, South Carolina transitioned on Sunday, July 2, 2023 in Greenville, South Carolina. Born on April 16, 1942 in Laurens County, South Carolina, he was a son of the late James Wheeler Putman and Lottie Mae Jones Putman. He is survived by a daughter, Jamie Witherspoon of Dallas, Texas; one brother, Roosevelt Putman of Syracuse, New York; two sisters, Edith Putman of the home and Juanita Sullivan of Greenville, South Carolina and a host of relatives and friends.

Public Viewing for Mr. J.W. Putman will be held on Friday, July 7, 2023 from 1:00pm-6:00pm at Beasley Funeral Home, Fountain Inn.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00pm, Saturday, July 8, 2023 at Center Rabun Baptist Church, Gray Court, South Carolina with Pastor Albert Blandin officiating. Burial will immediately follow service in the church cemetery.
