Mr. James Earl Calwile, age 88, of 115 Friendly Street, Fountain Inn, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2025. Born in Laurens County, SC, he was a son of the late Lillian Calwile and Christine Thompson Calwile and husband of the late Ella Ruth Todd Calwile. He is survived by his children, Annie (Steve) Henderson, Jean (Preston) Lindsay, Rickie Calwile and Dennis Calwile; his sisters, Annie Lee Hill and Bettie Mae (Ricky) Bolden; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren and three great, great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. James Earl Calwile will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, March 27, 2025 at the Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Laurens, SC., with Rev. Willie J. Choice officiating.  Burial will follow at Cannon-Byrd Memorial in Fountain Inn, SC.

The family is receiving friends at 115 Friendly Street, Fountain Inn, SC.
