Mrs. Idella Richard Boyd, age 62, of 13380 HWY 560, Cross Hill, South Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at her home. She leaves to cherish her fond memories are her beloved husband, Mr. Sammie Lee Boyd of the home; two sons, Roderick (LaSheba) Boyd of Blythewood, SC, and Darius (Asa) Boyd of Cross Hill, SC; and her precious granddaughter, Layla Boyd. She is also survived by her brother, Mr. Billie (Jennie Mae) Richard of Cross Hill, SC; her sisters, Mrs. Linda (Walter) McGowan of Cross Hill, SC; Freddie (Debbie) Richard of Pasadena, CA; Elaine (Christoph) McFadden of Jonesboro, GA; and Marie (Joe) Brown of Cross Hill, SC. Additionally, she leaves behind three sisters-in-law, three brothers-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives, and dear friends who loved her deeply.

Funeral services for Mrs. Idella Richard Boyd will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at 1p.m at the Zion Hill Baptist Church in Cross Hill, South Carolina, with Pastor David Sullivan officiating, with burial to follow in the Zion Hill Church Cemetery. The family is receiving visitors at the home. Public viewing will be held on Monday, February 24, 2025 from 1-6.
