Mr. Hugh Newt Fuller, age 93, formerly of Washington Street, Laurens, died Monday, January 14, 2013 in the Brian Center, Weaverville, North Carolina.A son of the late Ed Fuller and Gennie Fuller, he was a member of the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, Clinton, a retired employee of the City of Laurens and a World War II veteran.He is survived by two daughters, Maggie Sue Rice and Rena Hunter of Laurens, SC; three stepdaughters, JoAnn Muhuman and Rosella Carter of New York and Lucille Dinkins of Clinton, SC;three stepsons, Keith Suber and Johnny Suber of New York and Terry Suber of Laurens, SC; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; twelve great, great-grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Cora Ann Fuller, and one son-in-law, Frankie Hunter, of Laurens, SC; a devoted niece, Loretta Wallace of Charlotte, NC. Funeral service will be held 1 p.m., Saturday at the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, Clinton, SC with Rev. Kenneth Murray officiating.Burial will be in the church cemetery.The family is at the home of a daughter, Maggie Rice, 217 Beasley Street, Laurens. Beasley Funeral Home, Laurens is in charge of arrangements.
