Mr. Horace Anthony McCrorey, age 78, of 983 Fargo Street, Mauldin, SC, passed away Friday, August 18, 2023. Born in York County, South Carolina, he was a son of the late George Alexander McCrorey and Quincie Ivory McCrorey. He is survived by his wife, Peggy S. McCrorey of the home; one son, James H. McCrorey of Philadelphia, PA; three daughters, Sharon (Jeffrey) Stuckey and Bonnie McCrorey of Philadelphia, PA, Nykkivia McCrorey of Mauldin; one step-daughter Sonya (Daniel) Norris of Simpsonville; three brothers, James L. McCrorey of Charlotte, NC, Bobby J. (Gloria) McCrorey of Rock Hill, SC and Thomas W. (Annette) McCrorey of Columbia, SC; two sisters, Sophia A. Gordon of Rock Hill, SC and Quincie M. Moffatt of Rock Hill, SC; seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three brothers-in-law, Harley Sweeney, Jr. of Mauldin, SC Thomas (Shirley) Sweeney and Douglas (Jo Ella) Sweeney of Simpsonville, SC; two sisters-in-law, Mary S. Byrd of Gray Court, SC and Sylvia McCrorey; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Friday, August 25, 2023 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Fountain Inn, SC.
