Mr. Harry Major, age 70, of 204 Lowndes Ave, Greenville, SC, died, Monday, March 16, 2015 at the McCall Hospice House, Simpsonville, SC. Born in Seneca, South Carolina a son of the late Harold Major and the late Louella Heard Major and the husband of the late Teretha C. Floyd Major. He was educated in the public schools of Oconee County, South Carolina and a retired employee of Sears and Roebuck. He is survived by one son Christopher (Lavonia) Major of Simpsonville, SC; two daughters, Karen Major and Cheryl Lynn Major both of Greenville, SC; one brother, Gordon Major of Seneca, SC; two sisters, Connie Major and Emma Eloise (William) Morris both of Seneca, SC; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 2pm, Sunday, March 22, 2015 at the Beasley Funeral Home Chapel, Greenville with the Reverend Carleathea Benson officiating. The family is at the home. Beasley Funeral Home, Greenville is in charge of arrangements.
