Mrs. Gladys Mildred Byrd Black, age 96 of 134 Mamie Black Road, Pelzer transitioned from her earthly home on Tuesday, August 16, 2022. Born on July 17, 1926 in Greenville County, South Carolina she was daughter of the late Arthur and Corrie Hill Byrd, and wife of the late Joe Nathan Black. She leaves with fond memories, her children, Ruby M. Black of Pelzer, Willie Albert Black of Greenville, Angelia Reeder , Rev. MacArthur , Alander Hood , Deborah Black of Pelzer, Carrie Black of Greenville; daughter–in-law Winnical (Thomas) Brown of Irmo, S.C.; one sister, Jessie Henderson Stuart of Simpsonville, SC (11) grandchildren, (25) Great Grandchildren. nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Public Viewing for Mrs. Mildred Black will be held on Friday, August 19, 2022 from 1:00pm-6:00pm at Beasley Funeral Home, Fountain Inn. Funeral Service will be held 11:00am, Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Reedy Fork Baptist Church, Simpsonville with Pastor T.E. Simmons officiating.
