Mr. George Lee Stoddard, Sr., age 84, formerly of Fountain Inn, passed away Sunday, April 16, 2023 at Greenville Memorial Hospital, Greenville, SC. Born in Laurens County, SC, he was a son of the late Jessie Stoddard, Sr. and Arleatha Shell Stoddard and husband of the late Teretta Stoddard. He is survived by two sons, Michael (Rachel) Stoddard and George L. (Ann) Stoddard, Jr; one daughter, Joyce (Willie) Calwile; two brothers, Jessie L. (Mildred) Stoddard and Willie Moses Stoddard; one sister, Polly Stoddard Wright; ten grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Sunday, April 23, 2023 at Mt. Carmel AME Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family is at the home of his daughter, Joyce and Willie Calwile, 102 Jodibrook Court, Mauldin, SC
